Doug is a lifelong Pittsburgher who coached Central Catholic Crew from 1999 until the spring of 2002. He left the program to pursue his career but has always felt the irresistible urge to return. He’s now back to help coach the freshman squad. Doug is a 1993 graduate of Georgetown University where he won three varsity letters and served as heavyweight captain his senior year. At Georgetown, Doug won IRA gold in the 4+ and 4-.. Doug also won two silver medals at the Dad Vail regatta in the varsity heavyweight 8+. At Potomac Boat Club, Doug was on the bronze medal heavyweight senior 8+ at the 1992 USRowing championships. After college, Doug rowed for the Vesper lightweight program from 1994-1995. Doug and his wife Beth live in Hampton Township with their two children.
